The crossing of cultures, the melding of languages, and the grandeur of a place unknown is the pinnacle of humanity. It is as humbling as it is the very thing that produces in me a greater confidence. Every plane, train, bus, and boat taken develops in me a greater attunement to the external world and thus myself. I learn to allow my observations to guide me rather than distract me. My misdirection a call to something more. I fight to keep anxiety from getting the best of me, because with it there is no opportunity to explore. This life is meant for exploration, connection, and introspection. Travel, as I’ve found, is the best way to practice them all.
